The Port Kembla industrial lines have always been home to some unusual shunting locos and nothing has changed in the modern era.
The PB Class operates nowhere else and you’ll see one of them in operation in this video.

The wheat harvest was in and the silos were full in April and May 1998 and the next harvest is not far away so the move is on the empty the silos.
Once again the 48s are doing their part to shift the load on one of the light branches in the north-west of NSW.
