Australian Diesel Locomotive Timeline

The Australian Diesel Locomotive Timeline is an attempt to show the date that different locomotives were introduced and the time that they were withdrawn.

Sadly it’s almost impossible to produce a true timeline for this page simply because it covers such a broad period of time and there are so many different classes of locomotives to try and fit into a traditional timeline and fit that timeline into a computer screen.

If you see any locos that I’ve missed … or any dates that you think are incorrect … please don’t hesitate to contact me with the correct information.
